How to Choose the Best Registry Cleaners For Windows

The Microsoft Windows operating system is a very powerful processing environment used by billions of people around the world. This popular PC platform OS uses the Windows registry in order to store and quickly access various data representing settings, default configurations of software applications and other system specific data entries serving various purposes. With a constantly changing database that has the size of the Windows registry, problems do not fail to arise as this part of the operating system becomes crowded with temporary data, software installation variables, partially uninstalled applications and other similar entries, making it both increasingly difficult to access resulting in larger reading times and highly hard to manage due to the high chances of operating system damaging if not done by an IT expert.

With such a problem in front of almost every PC user, software companies are constantly developing solutions and tools able to quickly scan and identify Windows registry invalid entries, fragmented sections, temporary data and orphan registry keys, generating reports and carrying fully featured tools capable of fixing each one of the most commonly found problems. These applications are some of the best registry cleaners on the market and they help non-technical PC users properly maintain and administrate their computing platform for best performance and faster overall processing times combined with greater operating system and application level stability.

Registry Cleaner – A Necessity for Optimal PC Performance

Registry cleaner: ever heard of them? I’m sure you have heard of anti-virus programs or anti-spyware programs. But registry cleaner programs? Probably not as often.

These programs are critical to the healthy running of your PC. Every time your computer crashes, runs too slow, does not shut down properly, or cannot remove programs using the add/remove dialog, these are symptoms that your computer needs a registry cleaner to do a scan.

A good registry cleaner removes and/or corrects the unnecessary, corrupted, broken links to files and errors to DLL files to optimize your PC’s performance. It frees up the resources allocated to these files so that the resources can be used elsewhere. In my opinion, the performance of my computer is just as important as my computer not being infected by a virus. So it is definitely a good idea to invest in a good registry cleaner program.

Personally, I like to fix things around the house myself. But when it comes to fixing things on the computer, unless I know EXACTLY what I’m doing, I much rather pay a few dollars and let the experts handle the problem. My desktop and laptop computers have so much impact in my daily life, it is important that I keep them in optimal performance form for as long as possible. Registry cleaner programs help me achieve it.

It is a good idea to get a good registry cleaner program and run scans regularly before you notice the above-mentioned symptoms or just as the first of them appear. It is never a good sight to have the dreaded blue screen pop up as you are typing away on your computer. That’s exactly what happened to me two years ago, and I nearly lost all my data on my hard-drive (Believe me, it is a scary feeling trying to remember whether you backed up the data on a DVD or an external hard-drive). I still regret to this day on not having access to a registry cleaner up back then. Having proper pre-caution measures is key in preventing this from happening. A reliable program is one of these key measures.

What Is Registry Cleaner?

Computer registry is the brain of your computer. We as humans consult our brain before making any decision, similarly computer consults its registry for every decision it has to take. If you are experiencing problems similar to the following then chances are that there is problem with your computer registry.

  • Computer does not shutdown correctly.
  • Computer running too slow.
  • Computer keeps crashing.
  • Unable to remove software using add/remove dialog.
  • Computer does not startup correctly.
  • Computer needs frequent rebooting.

So how to remove registry problem? And how to stop registry problems before they escalates too much? Here comes registry cleaner to the rescue, it acts as a brain surgeon. Now how can one detect and remove registry problems?, in short which registry cleaner to use. Choosing right registry cleaner is as important as choosing a brain surgeon instead of an ordinary doctor for brain surgery.

There are many registry cleaners available with inferior quality. Most of them are based on open source, and what most of the vendor has done is taken that open source, tweaked it a bit and branded with their own label. Result is inferior quality code with limited technical support in times of problem, because they the vendors themselves do not know the code itself.

Another problem is that the most of the registry cleaner comes with spyware or adware that users are not able to detect. These spywares benefits registry cleaner vendors and degrades the performance of our own computer performance.

Use The Best Registry Cleaners To Fix Registry Errors

Lets be honest, the technical aspects of working with your PC isn’t something that everyone can deal with comfortably. Data, hard drives, modems, internet speed, there’s a lot to deal with in one such small box! When we get a little more technical and start talking about your system registry, this may just confuse you some more. But don’t worry too much because if you use the best registry cleaners, they will do all the work for you.

If you aren’t too sure what your system registry is, it is basically an area on your PC which stores a various amount of data. It keeps a log of all the changes you make to settings on your PC. This can be simple settings or even when you install a new program or uninstall an old one.

Each time you change something, a new piece of data is added to the registry. So over time, the registry starts to really fill up and can get quite large. Most times, a registry has a lot of redundant links and files that have no purpose any longer. That’s why using a registry cleaner will help you.

The best registry cleaners will perform a full system backup of your registry, then scan it completely to see what files and information can be removed safely. This then gives you the option of removing them and making some space on your hard drive. This doesn’t usually take too long to perform but can make a huge difference to the performance of your machine.
