I worked on many computers lately and I noticed something the most is that there are still programs on computers that are no longer needed.

Some new computers have a lot of software demos there for customers to try. If they like, they have the option to buy it. If they do not like, or even try it, the computer still has to save the program and all associated files.

In addition, many parents sometimes buy educational software for children. Children 9-10 years now, but the software is purchased for the year, 3-4 years remain on the computer.

Another example is AOL. Some people have started using AOL, then they decided to go to the cable modem, DSL, fiber optics and AOL are no longer used. Even if they do not use the software and all files remain on your computer.

The entire above mentioned slow computer, especially leaving AOL on it. AOL is a great program and put the ubiquitous pieces of software, including a program called registry.

Registry is a program that tracks everything on the computer. If you no longer use the application and you do not uninstall registry to go through all the data to get to go.

Thus, the first step to get rid of the application you no longer need is to go to the Start menu and see all the programs and files in the All Programs menu option. Just look in different folders and applications to see what you no longer use, or even heard of.

The next step is to click on the Start menu and click the Control Panel. When I open the Control Panel click Add / Remove program option. In XP and Vista, the Add / Remove Programs in both the first line (the VIES icon), or in the left column (the words display).

When the Add / Remove open, you will see all installed applications. If you have many applications on your computer can take up to 30 seconds or more to complete all on the screen.

Lets be honest, the technical aspects of working with your PC isn’t something that everyone can deal with comfortably. Data, hard drives, modems, internet speed, there’s a lot to deal with in one such small box! When we get a little more technical and start talking about your system registry, this may just confuse you some more. But don’t worry too much because if you use the best registry cleaners, they will do all the work for you.

If you aren’t too sure what your system registry is, it is basically an area on your PC which stores a various amount of data. It keeps a log of all the changes you make to settings on your PC. This can be simple settings or even when you install a new program or uninstall an old one.

Each time you change something, a new piece of data is added to the registry. So over time, the registry starts to really fill up and can get quite large. Most times, a registry has a lot of redundant links and files that have no purpose any longer. That’s why using a registry cleaner will help you.

The best registry cleaners will perform a full system backup of your registry, then scan it completely to see what files and information can be removed safely. This then gives you the option of removing them and making some space on your hard drive. This doesn’t usually take too long to perform but can make a huge difference to the performance of your machine.
